We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The room was fine with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious, with lovely touches like homemade bread and jams. Vickie and her Mum were great hosts and made for a very relaxing stay. Would not hesitate in recommending The Old Station House.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at The Old Station House. It is in a perfect location, central to many features of the Peak District. Chatsworth House is an beautiful walk away and Bakewell is a quick drive. Around the corner from the BnB is a fabulous pub offering great value meals, perfect after a long day walking... More

Not because it is so conveniently located close to Peak Rail's Rowsley South "station" but because this is another of those Great British B&B's run by people who love catering for tired travelers. One has a comfortable night in a luxurious en-suite room and one doesn't leave hungry or thirsty in the morning. It is this sort of dwelling that... More

Stayed here for two nights when we were visiting the chatsworth Christmas fare. Rooms were slightly smaller than anticipated, but perfectly adequate, nicely furnished, and VERY clean, what more could you ask for? As the other reviewers commented Victoria and her mum were really friendly and the breakfast, both full English and smoked salmon scrambled eggs were excellent.

I stayed five nights, and had a delightful time. Victoria is a perfect B&B host, and made my stay very enjoyable. The house itself is well situated along bus routes for travelers like myself who use public transit, and is nestled in a picturesque village with great views of the hills of the Peak District. It is very convenient to... More

Thank you Victoria and Mum for making our visit so enjoyable. Your knowledge of places to visit, the history of the area etc. was invaluable. Our room at the back of the house was quiet and the our giant sized bed was extremely comfortable. The room facilities were excellent and well thought out (nice little extra touches). Loved the variety... More

I stayed here with my wife for a weekend recently. The owners were most welcoming on our arrival. We found our room to be immaculately clean with a peaceful view from our window of sheep in the field opposite our room and the attractive hills rising behind it. The room had all the facilities you could require, TV, DVD, Wi-Fi,... More

Vicky and Maureen were both very friendly and their house immaculate. It was great to have a lounge in which to sit and relax. Rowsley is central to both Haddon Hall and Chatsworth house, both of which are well worth visiting. There is a pub about 5 minutes walk away, serving excellent meals and an outlet shopping area next door.... More
