A few minutes' drive away of the small village of Castletownshend, Sandycove B&B stands facing the sea. A small beach hidden in the rocks is also accessible through stairs going down from the B&B. There are only six rooms but some are looking out to the sea. Breakfast is also served in a room with 3 glass walls out of... More

We were here in 2008. It was a three-day trip Irlandii.Pierwszą night we were just in the House of Sandycove. It is a very lovely place and a great view from the room window. The owners were kind and hospitable. I recommend!

The wife & I usually agree within about 20% of each other on things, but this is the one where we are in absolute agreement. This is the best place we've ever stayed. The accomodations at the Sandycove House are very good, breakfasts have been excellent, but the location is unsurpassed in our travels. The view out to the bay... More

This was my 5th trip to Ireland. I always stayed at b&b’s or guesthouses with scenic views, but the Sandycove House’s location is absolutely stunning. You can gaze at the Ocean (and kormorans, and seals…!) just while sitting on your bed (provided that you’ve booked a sea-side room). The dining/living room is comfortable and equipped with full-length windows, so you... More

Great sea view, clean and comfortable, decent shower pressure and very friendly and helpful hosts John and Breda. On account of the rain they dropped us down to the restaurant (Mary Anne's) and collected us afterwards.

Not sure what the person from Missouri was talking about......My husband and I have been traveling around Ireland for a month and one of our last stops has been in the Southwest....Castletownsend, Co. Cork..... The most fabulous spot we have found. The vista is better than the Cliffs of Moher.....that being said, the B & B is grand, the proprietor... More

Let me start off by saying the location is absolutely stunning. Amazing views of the sea and a small beach accessible if you do a bit of climbing. However, it also rather hard to find and takes a while to get anywhere from the house. Also, we found the hostess to be rather unfriendly and not at all professional. The... More

Just returned from spending 3 nights at this wonderfully located B&B in Sandycove. We stayed in the 3 bedroom bungalow which was very confortable and really a home away from home. Very welcoming throughout our stay and the breakfast room is stunning perched on an elevated position with magnificant views of a piece of paradise in West Cork. We will... More

Although the B&B is kind of remote, it is so beautiful. Right on the coast with picture perfect views. The hosts were awesome & so nice. Our breakfast was delicious & was more than anyone could ask for. There is a secluded beach right down fromt he house. We could not have asked for a better place to stay, while... More

We could not have envisaged a more beautifully situated place or such peace. It was right near a magnificent little sandy cove and many other beaches. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and the breakfasts perfect - so different from the impersonality of a faceless hotel, but then that is the whole delight of a B & B, where individuals... More
