We have stayed at this hotel many times now as our daughter is in her final year at UWE, have also recommended it to friends whose children also study at UWE (was not aware of the friends and family UWE rate ??) When I first booked a room three years ago I prepared myself for the worst being a fan... More

Stayed here on the 6th.February for a conference that was booked in the Hotel for the next day. My room was on the small side and I would consider the bathroom very small, the bath was only about 2/3 of the size i would find comfortable and I am not exceptionally tall. There was also a very strong smell of... More

Like stepping back in time really to a typical "business" hotel of 20 years ago. Very friendly staff at reception, in the bar and in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Reasonable standard of food, although £4.51 for a pint of Stella is pushing it somewhat for anywhere, never mind on the outskirts of Bristol Otherwise, the room was quiet,... More

Quick check in, room not large but had a comfortable bed and enoguh space for one. Breakfast a little hectic - there was a school party in at the same time - but nothing ran out and there was no queue to get in, both of which suggest a well organised set up. Good value. Not really close to anything,... More

I have stayed on business at the Holiday Inn, Filton several times recently. It is within easy walking distance of the Bristol Business Park. The hotel is very clean and efficient with fast check-in. Rooms are generally spacious, very clean and functional. The bar area is very busy but provides attentive service, although drinks prices are quite high! Breakfast is... More

Normally I would not choose Holiday Inn, I have preferred Premier Inn in the past, when staying on business. The Filton Holiday Inn was booked for me by a colleague. The room was very clean and comfortable. The surprise was that the standard of the restaurant food was excellent. The restaurant serves Chinese food, the menu is comprehensive and is... More

Our second stay here for a family weekend and we had a good time. Bit puzzled though, as to why the light spacious restaurant was closed in the evenings and we had to eat in the Sampans restaurant. This was small, dimly lit, crowded and noisy, not at all what I was hoping for had we been in the restaurant.... More

Thank you for your feedback. In relation to the restaurant being closed, January is a quiet period for us, and due to the number of guest's staying that night, we decided to close Junction restaurant and serve both menus from Sampans Restaurant to try and create a nicer atmosphere for our guest's. Although from your feedback I can see on... More

Stayed here for work a couple of weeks ago. Nice place with friendly staff. In fact probably the most staff I've seen at a HI. Room was usual fare. A bit on the small side but not bad. One gripe I always have about HIs now is the automatic service charge they add to everything. Just get it removed at... More

Thank you very much for your positive comments; I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. This Holiday Inn is just off the motorway and maybe 15min drive into Bristol. It a Holiday Inn and it has everything that goes with that - clean, reasonably appointed rooms, nice beds (we both slept), well helpful staff, good breakfast and all the facilities you could want..... but if you want the personal touches, or to experience the locality...
