Not quite..... Although there is nothing wrong with the venue as such, it is not what you would call 'modern' or contemporary. Everyhting has a bit of a 'needs to be redecorated' feel to it. Have used Lane End Conference centre for a few years and the place just keeps on getting better. The main conference room is lovely and spacious, well equipped and light and airy, as well as with gorgeous views (especially in the snow!). This conference venue has several different buildings that can cater for small to large groups with a variety of facilities to suit every need. The bedrooms are small but comfortable and clean and the food is very good.

Stayed here for an Open University residential course in August 2012. Really nice food, helpful staff, clean and functional rooms, good WiFi. Caters for non-meat and gluten eaters. Stayed here for several nights for a conference (of course). The room was quite comfortable, bright and airy--the windows open!--and the bed was comfortable. There was ample room to store things and a quite nice bathtub that I hadn't been expecting. The food here is delicious.
