rooms very dated stopped for 1 night, reminded me of throw back from the 60s. Room we had looked like a revamped office.Food not bad but lack of staff made it a problem if you were not a local resident. we had to wait. staff friendly but not really bothered how long you had waited.

very poor food - not warm and all seemed to be microwaved. Not cheap either for the standard of food - good for drinking and watching football but would not eat here again. Sure of they could just sort the food out they would get more repeat business and not just drinkers.

We went here on the night we got to our room in hotel mercure, 7 or so miles away. Very impressed with inside decor and space available to sit. Staff behind bar very helpful, polite and patient. Food was excellent and reasonable. Drinks cheap. All round very impressed. Definately go again.

Lovely place to eat,good food,value for money,good service and a pool table to top off the fun! Portions were wonderful,food was cooked well and a lovely way to round off a Sunday! Staff were well turned out,an although this is a family pub me and my wife were uninterupted
