After unexpectedly meeting up with friends in a new bar, we decided to go to our old haunts to remember those younger days. Well, how lovely to be greeted with great music, we could talk!! Great staff, made to feel really welcome.Even allowed to sit on the bosses motorbike proudly displayed inside.Will definately be back.

Called in the Eagle last Sunday the 2nd Sept. to watch the football, and being a bit peckish had the Sunday roast as well. Pity the football was n't as good as the roast fair dooze it was spot on, Only a choice of two either chicken or beef. Only one course tho but well worth it certainly go again... More

Found the Golden Eagle by chance, called in for a pint and stayed for the evening. A stones throw from the hotel, dark and bohemian. The Golden Eagle is now under new ownership and has recently undergone a scheme of refurbishment. Accommodation is no longer available but the public bar serves an excellent choice of draught and real ales, offers an extensive wine list and serves one of the best Sunday roasts in Chester. Great location, 2 mins from shops. The owners Dee and Phil made us very welcome, excellent breakfast! Free car parking, we just parked up and didn't have to worry about the car.
