After a great week in Cornwall we wanted to stay an extra night in Newquay and looked all around the town for somewhere to stay. After checking out several different hotels that were asking what we considered to be a lot for one night, we found the Priory Lodge, situated just a short walk from the main street and beach.... From the moment you walk through the door Fiona and her staff can't do enough for you! We were a party of 5 and were allocated a lovely dinner table near the window with a fab view. The rooms we had were lovely and we would definately stay again. In fact my husband and i have provisionally booked already! The... More

Booked here for two nights after reading reviews. Very good location for centre of town. Was worried when we arrived as coach trip booked in, but the staff didn't ignore us and we were given a quiet corner for breakfast. Very happy atmosphere in hotel, lots of laughing at the evening entertainment. Only gripe for us is we booked a... More

... Please check first whether there is a shower if that is your preference as not all rooms have one. Also my room did not have a bedside light which was a problem because I like to read before I sleep and having the room lights on was not fair on the person with whom I was sharing. The food... More

Hotel was extremely good value for money. The room we had was spacious, with a nice view and the sheets were changed each day. The communal areas such as the bar, lounge, swimming pool and breakfast room are all well-kept and good to relax in. The breakfast filled you up for the days surfing. There is an area you can... A hidden gem. I have been holidaying in Newquay since 1977 and have watched most of the hotels disappear which is so sad. Then this year, what a find ! I dont know how we have missed Priory Lodge. Fiona (what a woman!) is there from dawn till dusk and always smiling, and the laugh kept my daughter amused all... More

The Priory Lodge was recommended to us by friends (hoteliers themselves) and we're glad we took their advice. Excellent choice of food, spotlessly clean rooms, great facilities and most important, friendly. Fiona and Judith were the perfect hosts and the rest of the staff always greeted you with a smile. We will definately be staying there next year. More
