After reading the reviews I was rather apprehensive about our stay, however I was pleasently surprised on our arrival. The location of the Hotel was excellent. It overlooked wonderful views of the sea and was a small walk to the town centre, which held a range of dining experiences. The Hotel had a large free carpark, which similar Hotel's did... more

Ah the Riviera .... memories of the Mediterranean and that is as far as it goes. The hotel is shabby, mean spirited and grubby. Take the bathroom: paint peeling off the ceiling, carpet in the main room stained with God knows what. This is Newquay England when many people were taking a holiday at home for the first time in... more

Stayed for three nights recenly and enjoyed most aspects of the stay. Would prefer the bar open more, even it you just had to ring a bell to get the receptionist to serve you and the car park is littered with a lot of rubbish. Good points were good price, clean if dated rooms, nice breakfast and good staff. And... more

I read the reviews here after I had done my reservation (and payed for my room; you can't cancel a reservation here, which is very bad). I was disappointed and worried about hygien, as I'm pregnant and travelling with a 2 1/2 years old child. I was surprised and happy about what I found. The hotel is in a wonderful... more

Having read all the reviews on this site about this hotel, I was very nervous about booking it - but as it was the cheapest accommodation I could find in Newquay I did anyway. And when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the decoration is tired, yes its a bit noisy in the mornings as the walls are quite... more

We booked this hotel for a long weekend for our first wedding anniversary and thought from the website that this looked clean and friendly with good views. When we arrived we were both very disappointed at how run-down the hotel looked from the outside, but was hoping the inside would be better. It wasn't. We were asked to pay for... more

I only stayed here with my boyfriend for a weekend gettaway, but had a lovely time. Although the hotel was rather 'dated' i was pleasntly surprised with my stay, was greeted at reception with a smile, and was upgraded to a sea view room, and what a view it was -Amazing! Breakfast was perfectly adequate and didnt dissappoint. Although the... more

The Hotel Rviera refutes this review. Please remember this person didnt actually stay with us. The website that this person booked through is not directly controlled by us, however it is a respectable, widely known booking site and it clearly states its terms and conditions. Furthermore we have not resold the room as the reviewer states. As a gesture of...
