Stayed as part of the Choral Festival. Rooms are truly basic but clean. For me and my back the bed was just awful. Make sure you ask for a room with an actual shower. I spent 5 nights ay the Sandy Lodge Hotel in March as part of a David Urquhart Coach Holiday. i had a lovely clean room with a great shower and toilet. The food was excellent entertainment really good.Not the most luxurious hotel but excellent value for money. Staff all really helpful and polite. i would not hesitate to go back

Evertime I stay here I cannot be but extremely impressed by the value of this hotel. The rooms are clean,the reception and dinning room are always manned by competent staff. If I must nit-pick it would over the rather small television,but this is easily out-weighed by all the good things. A pleasure to stay here.
