Just got home from a fantastic weekend at Honey Cottage in Port Issac. What a fantastic cottage, bags of charm and character, warm and welcoming. It made our wedding anniversary and we would not hesitate to go back again. Set in a brilliant location, just minutes away from village centre so really convenient for local pub and restaurants. Lovely village,... More

Stayed at Little Moorings for a week. On entering the property there was this damp smell throughout the property. I dont think much cleaning had taken place at this property. Beds very uncomfortable. I had to put a blanket on top of my mattress to make it somewhere near comfortable. The furniture in the living room was uncomfortable. The cushions... More

On entering the property the gardens both back and front are a bit overgrown and need cutting back. The windows and window sills were filthy and had not been cleaned for a while. On entering the moorings there is a distinctive smell of damp/mould. No matter if we left the windows on vent the smell did not go. In the... More

We stayed here in the summer of 2011, on the recommendation of a family friend. As a large family holiday we let both "The Moorings" and "The little moorings" with my wife, 7 month old daughter and myself staying in the smaller property and my in-laws and other family staying in the larger property above us. This was beyond perfect.... More

Just come back from a stay in this lovely property - very clean with everything you could want, and just 5 minutes walk into the village which is amazing! The views from the house are wonderful. The terrace is a real sun trap most of the day. Nice restaurants and cafes in the village and also a restaurant called The... More

Being big fans of Doc Martin, we were looking for a cottage in the heart of Port Isaac, the location of the fictional Port Wenn. We stayed in the partner cottage of "The Moorings", "Honey Cottage" last summer. Honey Cottage is on Dolphin street in Port Isaac which is just off the main street. It is a one minute walk... More

We stayed in the partner cottage Honey Cottage. We found as soon as we entered we where hit with the smell of damp. It was actually so unbearable that we spent most of time away from this place. As you can imagine this is very inconvenient when you have a baby and young child. Our clothes smelt of damp as... More

We stayed in The Moorings which was the upper apartment in this two level self catering bungalow. It was spacious, clean and had all mod cons including flat screen digital TV, fully equipped kitchen. Parking was right outside shared with the apartment below and another rental property at the bottom of the village. Not sure what the other reviewer is... More

Port Isaac in Cornwall is the town featured in the series "Doc Martin" on PBS. The town is an old fishing village built in a small inlet. The buildings are quaint and the townspeople friendly. There is one small market and no big superstores. There is a cliff path all around Cornwall which has spectacular views and clean air. The... More
