I have stayed at the Seymour Guest House twice, now, and would not hesitate to stay there again. It is often on my list of regular haunts. Karen and Ray are very good hosts and keep a very tidy and clean guesthouse. They cater equally well for the single traveler and I have no objection to their slight surcharge to... More

We spent one night at Seymour Guest House and had a very pleasant stay. Our room was lovely and the bathroom, though small, was very neat and well-arranged. We had the usual tea/coffee packets in the room, but a welcome addition was the hot chocolate. (We had only one packet though, so it might be good to ask for more... More

Hello Numberdevil Thank you for taking the time to review our guest house and it was nice to hear that you had a pleasant stay. Especially that you thought that our breakfasts were wonderful and generous. We supply a good amount of beverages in the guest rooms and although there is only one hot chocolate sachet there is usually a... More

I have stayed here many times with work collegues and this is a very clean B&B. The hosts are friendly and always willing to help, excellent location for everything Plymouth, excellent rooms for the money and breakfast is on par with any local hotel in Plymouth.

I stayed here just for 1 night for a conference. The room was clean, comfy, presented nicely and had everything I needed. Breakfast was good with a veggie option. The man was not overly chatty but pleasant enough, and the lady was very friendly and accommodating. It is a bit of a walk from the rail station, but easy enough... More

Hi Questkins Thank you for your kind review and very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us at the Seymour. It is a shame that your stay was not longer and then you would have got to know Ray a bit better, as he is quite shy and takes a while to get chatting. He prefers that I chat... More

Hi I remember your stay with us, and it was very nice to meet you. With Plymouth being a busy place our guests often only stay 1 or 2 nights, so it is nice when we get guests that stay a while longer especially when they enjoy our service. Thank you for your review, and I do hope you get... More

Just come back from Karen and Ray's and it was brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble and Rachael and I were both made so very welcome. The rooms were lovely and clean, the breakfast was lovely with a lot of choice. We have stayed in a few places in Plymouth and this is the best. Stay here if you get... More

I spent a couple of weeks here whilst working down in Plymouth and couldn't have asked for more in terms of comfort, flexibility and hospitality. Great little B&B.

Hi Ally E E Thank you for your review. Just to let you know that as of April 2013 we have installed superfast broadband and a WiFi extender and this should now solve the weak internet signal to the top floor. Hope to see you again at the Seymour in the future. Best wishes Karen More

Seymour guesthouse is located in a quiet yet central location. The front overlooks parkland on The Hoe, just a few hundred yards to the heart of The Barbican. A very comfortable, clean and well decorated B&B, with a very warm welcome from Ray & Karen. The breakfast was excellent, with freshly made cafetiere coffee.

We spent a night here recently after a Brittany Ferry trip to Roscoff. Our host and hostess were most kind and allowed us to leave two heavy suitcases while on the Brittany trip. The rooms were small but very clean with many nice amenities and within walking distance of great places to eat. The breakfast was fabulous! We'd stay here... More
