Over the last six months Eastern Lodge has been our Devon haven on three occasions. The setting in unspoilt coastal countryside is perfect for invigorating hikes. But more importantly Salka's friendly hospitality makes our time there precious. She has adapted extremely well to our dietary needs and always makes time for interesting chats. We'll keep coming back for more.

Me and my partner stayed at Eastern Lodge for two nights recently to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We had such an enjoyable and relaxing stay in Devon which was largely due to Eastern Lodge. Salka; the proprietor was such a warm and relaxed host from the minute we arrived, making us a hot cup of tea which was just what... More

A bunch of us (all couples) stayed with Salka and Chris during October last year. I cannot tell you what a wonderful time we had. It was pure escapism particularly from hectic London. From the moment we arrived, we were treated as 'friends' and not guests. Salka's breakfast and dinners were just gorgeous and the very best 'home cooked' food.... More

The house with the wonky chimney came into view just 100m from the South West Coast Path, just as their directions said it would, and was the perfect place to rest our weary limbs. Our half circular room had leaded windows through which we saw sunrise over the sea when we woke. Every little comfort is catered for, and we... More

We went down to this neck of the woods for a wedding and found a gem in Eastern Lodge. The hosts were charming and very helpful throughout our stay, looking after us very well and making sure we got where we needed, when we needed. The Lodge is a beautiful old gate house, set a couple of hundred metres from... More

We run a B&B ourselves and were delighted with the welcome and attention to detail in this three bedroom house. The location is stunning with wonderful views and walks along the south coast route. Salka and Chris were charming... More

We just made a last minute booking to this B&B as a stopover no the way back to London and it turned into the highlight of our Christmas Break. The surroundings, the building, the views, the welcome.. all out of this world. I have never felt more relaxed or more spoilt than at Eastern Lodge. The rooms are beautifully decorated,... More

My husband and I stayed at Eastern Lodge while attending a wedding in nearby Newton Ferrers and we couldn't have been happier. The romantic 19th Century property on the Membland estate is simply charming - a bit like something out of a fairy tale with its interesting shapes and crooked chimney. Our hostess Salka was incredibly welcoming and attended to... More

Run by a very welcoming young couple, eager to please. Clean room with comfortable giant bed, art deco bathroom and sea views. Lounge downstairs with tea/coffee making facilities, DVDs and television, books and sofa. Breakfast served in a delightful room overlooking the garden. The building is on a quiet backroad, surrounded by typical South Devon countryside, very attractive, quirky and... More
