Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback in person and here on TripAdvisor. As you can imagine, mattress protectors are a necessity for everyone's benefit in a guesthouse environment, I'm happy you had a good night's sleep once you removed yours. The quilted waterproof protectors were purchased after trying a number of brands for 'non-rustle' and... More

Have stayed here before so this was a return visit. Number One is a Bed and Breakfast that has no pretensons to be being any thing else and I think this is what I like most about it. It is located 5 minutes walk from Plymouth Hoe, always a plus with my wife and I, and around ten minutes from... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we're very happy to see returning guests enjoy their stay - and their breakfast. Parking can be tricky in central Plymouth and it makes life so much easier to be able to park here as most places are only a short walk. We hope to see you again. More

Excellent location when visiting Plymouth for Theatre / shopping / short break, situated between city centre & the Hoe, 5 mins walk from Theatre Royal. On site parking is ideal when visiting any city centre as it takes away a lot of hassle! Short walk to Barbican with good choice of restaurants. Number 1 is very clean, ground floor has... More

Thank you for the review of your stay. As you say, we have a great location that is central and yet generally quiet, and having our own car park makes it all the easier. Next time you come, you will find that there are extra pillows in the wardrobe of all rooms and if you need more you are very... More

Stayed on business and was on the top floor. Room clean and serviceable with a bath. Nice comfortable bed. Coud do with a sign from the car park to the reception area as I was a little confused,. Easy walking distance into Plymouth centre and car parking facilities. Would have been nice to have had a fan in the bedroom... More

Plymouth has a selection of big chain hotels, if thats your thing, then fine.It also has a lot of very tired and expensive hotels and B&Bs. This place is neither. It is also spotlessly clean. The breakfast is good and the owners very nice. I was supposed to be in a single but the bed was like a double and... More

Everything was nicely decorated and spotless, and the room was very warm on a very cold night. Breakfast was good, and the staff very helpful and friendly. The location is very central, and having a car park is an added bonus. In all, great value.

Stayed here for one night last night and it is very good value for money. We chose this guesthouse, as it has private free parking at the rear of the property.
