After arriving by motorcycle almost 2 hours earlier than expected, having ridden through heavy rain and dripping from head to toe. We were made most welcome by Diane. She made us a lovely hot pot of tea while she finished our room so that we could get changed. The location is excellent for the Hoe and The Barbican. We had... More

The owner was so nice and made me and my wife feel right at home immediately. The rooms are nice and cozy, the high ceiling make it feel spacious though. The rooms were immaculate as well. My wife had to wake up early to teach a course so our lovely hostess offered to serve us breakfast a little earlier then... More

I made my booking based on the TripAdvisor reviews and I knew they had not let me down when I was welcomed with a big pot of fresh tea. The Guest House is well located for The Hoe and in such good weather I could not resist a walk both night and morning. My room was clean and well equipped.... More

Diane is a very warm and welcoming person and nothing is too much trouble for her. Breakfast was something to remember!! Room and hospitality of the highest standard. Thank you, Diane, for the peaceful stay before we crossed Biscay! Best wishes for your continued success. Greg and Dela Rowe (Australia) More

Anyone who has a break planned in Plymouth just has to try Poppys. Diane could not have welcomed us any better. Everything was spotless, organised, comfortable and relaxing. The room was cozy and very comfortable with everything you need, Diane chatted to us with genuine interest and couldn't wait to make us a cuppa or cold drink. Just another example... More

We have stayed at Poppy's every year for the last four years. Nothing is every too much trouble for Diane. Her Hotel is spotless, food brilliant and location couldn't be better! We have visited with both family, with young children, and my elderly mother and Diane can't do enough to make the stay pleasant. We have been so delighted we... More

We stayed at Poppy's mid August. Excellent value for money and service and Diane (the owner) is very friendly and helpful. We had a triple room very comfy, spacious and clean. The location is perfect, close to the Hoe, Barbican and the town centre. We highly recommend Poppy's and we hope to come again in the next future! More

We stayed two nights here for 50 pound a night and it was brilliant. This was a great location being very accessible to the Barbican, the Hoe and to the shopping centre. Our bedroom was a big room on the ground floor and we were very impressed with the facilities. The hostess made us most welcome, helped us with off... More
