At first glance, this hotel is not the most appealing but the decor inside is lovely. I was on the top floor and the view was amazing. This hotel is right on the top of the Hoe and the views are wonderful. Breakfast was lovely, again with lovely views. Is well worth staying here, best hotel I have stayed in... More

Rooms are very tired and have seen better days BUT it is value for money and the views over Plymouth Sound are the best in Plymouth, the location to Plymouth shopping centre isn't too bad and the Barbican is a short walk away, we have used this hotel a few times and will continue to do so .

Attended a birthday party. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment , and is dated inside and out , although i.m led to beleive that it may be getting demolished in the next few years. The staff are very friendly and the food we had the party was well cooked and tasted lovely. Its a shame its let down by... More

I spent three nights in this hotel. The hotel is an uninviting concrete block but the view from our room was spectacular. The beds were comfortable but the rest of the furniture was outdated and very shabby. We did not enjoy dinner the first night, everything was fried (we had a set table d'hote menu as part of our conference... More

We needed somewhere to stay overnight to attend a wedding. This was the cheapest place to stay once you accounted for parking (free here) and breakfast. For £60 for b&b it was great value. I didn't pay for a seaview but we got one and it was a fantastic one. Room and hotel in general was tired looking but for... More

Stayed here for a couple of days in April 2013. Location was fantastic and price very reasonable . Most of the hotel is looking tired and dated and rumours are that the entire place is due to be knocked down and rebuilt but is awaiting an economic upturn ( may be some way off ) . Room was a bit... We were lucky enough to get a seaview room (a must) and this definitely made up for some of the shortcomings. Yes the decor is rather 'tired'; the shower gel dispenser stuck to the wall was ugly and useless as it was empty; we had a problem with the wi-fi which wasn't working for quite some time (and we weren't... 3rd time at staying at the Quality Hotel and had really nice time, very clean room with fantastic view over the Hoe and Sea. Watching the moon rise on the horizon was wonderful. if your looking for a nice, clean room in a quiet location but only a 5 minute walk to the city center then look no further with... More

a lovely, simple hotel, ideally situated in Plymouth. Very reasonable rates, clean, tidy, quiet, and good parking to boot. What more do you want? Food was okay, beer was okay, and service was quick enough. No problems there. All I would suggest is that when you book ask for a room that looks out onto the Sound. I was fotunate... More

We found the hotel to be a bit tired and worn at the edges! Shabby, past it's sell-by date and in need of some serious refurbishment. We were told locally that the hotel is suffering from concrete cancer hence the scaffolding outside to catch any falling chunks. However, we found the staff friendly and pleasant, the rooms were well cleaned... More
