This hotel was a delightful surprise after our initial disappointment with disastrous booking at an allegedly 3 star hotel with sea view. The location, service, hospitality and ambience of this place deserves the 5 star luxury rating. My 14 year old daughter and I have travelled extensively around Asia and Europe and have had the privileged of staying in top... More

Only able to stay one night but it was perfect. Room very comfortable and the bed a delight to sleep on! Very nice welcome on the terrace with tea/coffee when we arrived and were shown around the premises. Unfortunately we could not take advantage of the indoor swimming pool or make use of the superior lounge etc. as we were... More

Having stayed in a few B&Bs in the area, we have not found one more welcoming, relaxing or more beautifully presented than the Haldon Priors. The owners and staff are lovely and were always there to provide whatever it is we needed with lots of recommendations of local places to eat and visit. The room we stayed in was bright,... More

A very relaxed holiday in a wonderful setting with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! A lovely family run luxury hotel and the indoor pool with its' waterfall feature and hydro massage was enjoyed very much by my 11 year old son! Would recommend this to anyone!

It's important to understand that the comments below are based on paying £137 per night and the level of justifiable expectation that accompanies such a Bed & Breakfast tarriff. Haldon Priors is located in a leafy suburb of Torquay which will offer peace and tranquility for most guests and a short stroll from Meadfoot beach. It should be noted that... More

Thank you for posted reviewed on 1st April The review did not make our Tariff rate transparent to trip advisor as the room was actually occupied by 3 people, at this £137 per night bed & breakfast included, the Tariff is very clearly advertised and to make it absolutely clear when booking, so that our valued guests are aware that... This place is a genuine gem. There was a problem with the website booking and it shouldn't have let the transaction go through as they close at the end of September, and we wanted to stay the first week of October. So, you know what they did? They stayed open just for us! Amazing. That kind of commitment to guests... More

we booked 5 out of the 6 rooms for a weekend. overall hotel very good and very clean. however, thought was overpriced. we were in haldon suite- most expensive in hotel. had no view except a concrete wall and looked into next doors room. as end of season, felt like staff just going through motions. outdoor pool closed and very... I recently stayed at the hotel for the first time with a very dear friend who's been going there for many years. The hotel is ideally placed - just a short walk from Meadfoot beach. It is beautifully decorated and immaculate. The owner offered us fantastic personal service- nothing ever appeared to be too much trouble for her. I would... More
