We recently stayed with at Burleigh House and it was lovely and our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was sparkling clean and the breakfast delicious - really great value for money - thank you!

A fantastic guest house that I was lucky to find at short notice. Clean spacious room, warm friendly and helpful hosts, excellent breakfast and very good value. Location great as only a 10-15 min walk to the harbour, but bus stop and train station within 2 mins for those that don't like walking! I don't usually revisit the same places... More

My wife and I have stayed in B&B's all over the country and this is by far the first place that we have stayed in that we were made to feel truly at home in. We stayed here for one week and it more than met not just our needs but that of our 85 year old mums expectations and... More

Location: About 60 seconds walk from Torre train station (it's a road away from the station, so you don't hear the trains). From this point of view, it was great for us, as we just caught a train from Torre to Paignton, which is where the historical steam train departs (to Dartmouth). There is also a bus to Torquay waterfront... More

Just stayed for one night, but well and truly looked after! Martin helped us in with our luggage and gave us a drink up in our room once settled. Also, he showed us the best route to the function we were attending that night.....nothing was too much trouble!! Room was excellent, nice shower and bathroom. Breakfast was lovely......choice of cereals,... More

I was down in Torquay on a business trip, and had planned to do the normal Travelodge experience (i.e. you know what you're getting - not much!). I'm thoroughly glad I took the time to check out the opposition though. The owners were really friendly and didn't mind the obscenely late hour I turned up. The room was immaculate, with... More

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with everything you need. We came as a group of friends and were out for new years eve so were unable to get to breakfast in time but as we were going to leave they offered us some cereals and toast and insisted we stayed. We... More
