Have just returned from a weekend at The Palms which we found to be very comfortable and friendly. We were greeted by Judy who took us to our twin room just at the top of the landing. A nice size with ensuite, tea/coffee making facilities and small fridge( can squeeze in a few cans and bottles ). Beds nicely presented... More

We recently stayed for two nights and found The Palms to be well maintained, clean and comfortable. Any issues were addressed promptly and the owners were very accommodating. It is well located for central Torquay and we would definitely stay again.

When I booked I wasn't expecting much from this small hotel/B&B - the pictures certainly do not show a true representation of the hotel. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owners, who checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was bright with laminate flooring and all you could want. Plenty of Tea, Coffee and... More

My husband & I stayed at the Palms from Monday 4th to Thursday 7th March 2013. We have always loved Torquay so decided to take a short Spring break here & chose The Palms Hotel. We had a warm welcome from Judith on our arrival & were shown to our room on the 1st floor. The room was a clean... More

Everything was clean and tidy. The lady was helpful, polite, patient. I dont know that you could expect anything more for the price. We were very tempted to stay another night. The shower in our room was particularly good.

This is a friendly bed and breakfast,I would not class it as a hotel, the breakfast was a good quality, plenty of coffee, but had to make your own toast,no fresh fruit available and no apple juice, the room was spacious, and had small table and comfy chairs to sit and read, the rooms look a little tired, quite old fashioned, the access to the front door was... This is a good Bed and Breakfast, that is well worth a visit. Everything is near by, shops, restaurant and harbour. But this hotel is not for the disabled or to those less mobile, as the steps up to the hotel are quite steep, and once in the B and B there are a few flights of stairs. parking outside... More

Friendly owners. Good breakfast, lots of choice but no fresh fruit. Hotel 5 minutes walk uphill from harbour [taxi £2.50 from harbour]. Room facilities good (eg: tea/coffee, mini-fridge, TV-DVD). This is an old fashioned B&B (I wouldn't classify it as a hotel). It's a bit stuck in a time-warp, which on the surface is fine... however not much seems to... More
