Just returned from a Shearings holiday at this Hotel. The re-furbishment downstairs is fantastic, and although we were not lucky enough to have a re-furbished bed room we have been in one and it was superb. The food is great. Staff exellant. The entertaner Simon is fantastic. And we have never had such a good entertaner who could get so much... more

Just returned from this hotel after a lovely week booked through Shearings. We had a very enjoyable break. Wayne, who was our coach driver was very helpful and friendly and gave us lots of information about the area and excursions. Very professional. His excursions were very interesting and the Plymouth excursion was particularly good. The downstairs area of the hotel... more

We went to the hotel in 2008 and although it needed some work done on it we found it comfortable and clean. The entertainment was good too. The food was good and the staff were very enthusiastic and chatty, so much so that we asked about the condition of the hotel. We were told that it was due to be... more

Travelled with my parents and my partner and a good time was had by all. Entertainment was varied and Carl the host was pleasant and kept us all... more

Our friends room had black mouldy net curtains in their bathroom.black rotten window frames.holes in the carpet,no heating or hot water one day. Came back from our... more

Just spent a weekend there with a friend and had a really good time. Entertainment each evening and all inclusive meant free bar so we didn't need to leave the hotel to have an enjoyable time. Room was clean and comfortable but badly in need of upgrade as was most of the hotel because in parts it was shabby and... more

After reading the reviews on here I was a bit nervous of going to the Trecarn. What can I say we had a great time. Food was lovely, hot and plentiful served with a smile. We had a triple room, very clean and comfortable with bath and separate shower cubicle. My Mum had a disabled room on the ground floor... more

Tucked out of the way but in easy reach of buses to Torquay and Teignmouth. Decoration is well past its sell by date and a rubber tap attachment (which doesnt fit the taps) is the only reseblance to a shower. Service in the restaurant is a unhurried affair with 30 mins between courses and a meager menu. Extra toast is... more
