Lovely little hotel! We came here for a wedding last September, had no problems what so ever! Would defiantly come back again!! The breakfast was lovely as we're the people who ran it! The views from the hotel were fantastic, a real little gem! I would recommend to all.

Stayed for one night, price reasonable considering it was a bank holiday weekend. Owners very nice people, very comfortable bed, fantastic views, very good breakfast, bar prices not bad at all, no bitter on draught, just chilled John Smiths in cans, which is understandable. The only problem we found was the shower, it took ages to get slightly warm, and... More

Came for a stag do - amazing hospitality. I think it was a good job that we had the whole hotel booked otherwise we may have annoyed other guests. Overall treated fantastically well. Areas for improvement? Install a Stannah stairlift. The sight of more stairs having climbed up from the town area..arrrghh :) Well recommended

My Husband and I spent 3 nights at Mount Nessing and really enjoyed it. The room was immaculate and the bathroom although small was spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfy and you had the choice of feather or synthetic pillows which is a very good idea. The breakfast was gorgeous with plenty to choose from. The bacon was very... More

My mother and I stayed here and found it to be very pleasant. The room was large and very clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and towels. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was very good with generous portions. The breakfast room was pleasantly old fashioned and overall, the place had a lovely atmosphere.... Lovely little place to stay for our long romantic weekend in Torquay. Rick and Lorraine are very pleasant and do a great job, nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly and as commented below, not obtrusive. We had room 6, a VERY COMFY four poster double with digital tv on the first floor, with sea glimpses and a wonderful view... More

My family and I have stayed at the Mount Nessing Hotel on numerous occasions and have always found the owners to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is friendly, relaxed and very safe. The service I received was excellent and the owners could not have done enough to help to make my stay(s) very enjoyable. The rooms are clean,... More

In my opinion, this is what bed and breakfasts originally set out to be: a place to stay for the night and a nice cooked breakfast the next day. Nothing more. For a “boutique hotel” experience, look elsewhere, but this was a well located, pleasant place to stay with (at least one) very comfortable bed, a good breakfast, a nice... More

we visited torquay as we love it and visit every year as a family. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and thought it was a nice hotel but not as special as everybody says.We were charged 80.00 per night and the rooms were very small and it was very noisy downstairs at the bar but we needed our... The breakfasts were lovely, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room we stayed in was very clean and pleasant. The owners were helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Mount Nessing Hotel to friends and family. Looking forward to staying there again.
