Our stay at The Moreland was all and more than expected! We had spent 9 hours on a plane followed by 2 hours on a bus before arriving there so the warm warm greeting from owner/host Darren and the allocation of the room requested by prior email, went down a treat to kick off our 5wk European holiday. I really enjoyed myselft, our host Darren was very friendly and helpfull. The bed and bedding was a joy and I stuffed myself on the scrummy breakfast! Really liked all the decor and little extras such as the nibbles in the rooms and lovely toiletries. Would stay there again and recommend to friends. Great location and easy to get to... More

The Moreland is run by Darren who lives on property so is available at all times. The building is recently refurnished is charming modern colors and prints while eclectically accented with chandeliers. Breakfast was nice in a lovely ground floor patio room - very continental but with some old English favorites thrown in. Considering it is twenty feet off one... More

This is a great hotel in a great location. Our host Darren is warm and friendly and very helpful. The room is great, the bed comfortable and the shower has good pressure with easy controls. Breakfast is a mix of cereal and and a whole range of cold meats and cheeses; very continental. Do yourself a favour and stay here.

Really great location just out the way from most of the noise of the town etc but just a quick walk away if you wish to join in !! Local shops within easy reach for a pint of milk snack etc and the main restaurant's are a few streets away (Preston Street) with loads to choose from. If you are... More

After a 4 night stay at The Moreland, I'm already longing back to the softest and fluffiest bed I've ever slept in! Which now that I think about it, I might go on a hunt for some hypo-allergenic duvet and pillows for myself. The room itself was beautifully decorated (room 1) and it was cleaned daily. Despite the fact that... More
