The location was great. The accommodations were typical of what I'd expect of a B&B in the UK. They also had wifi. I was surprised by the quality and range of the breakfast. We would definitely return. Jim North Carolina, USA more

We have just returned from staying two nights at the Ambassador, we were in a family room with our fifteen year old daughter. The hotel is tatty in the lounge but the people are friendly and helpful so we could leave our cases on the day of check out. The breakfast was really fantastic, all locally sourced and the choice... more

I was worried before I went to Brighton after seeing the reviews on this website. This hotel (well, it's more B&B really) was fine! We got a good deal on the price, but the other good things about the place were: - Helpful, friendly staff (always nice and cheery!) - Good breakfast selection (cooked breakfast, cereal, toast, veggie breakfast, etc...)... more

We - a family of 4 + labrador dog - spent 3 days at the Ambassador Hotel, and had an overall good time. They mixed up our booking and we found all of us crammed into a standard room on 2nd floor (smokers (!!!) and dogs apparently allowed here) with one bed missing. As a result, our youngest aged 7... more

The hotel was very clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. They always offered to carry my bags but I was able to manage them myself with no problem. I don't understand why some people here have winged about this little gem. It's cheap for Brighton and the breakfast is fantastic. I stayed in a single room (16) on the... more
