This is the traditional style B and B. Somewhat larger than many. Downstairs sitting rooms very nicely furnished. There is a lift, which was helpful with the luggage. Our room was at the back. Nicely appointed and very clean but small. The bed was very comfortable and pillows good. It is a long walk to the old harbour area, pubs and... More

I took my teenage son down to Southsea to watch Coventry play Portsmouth. Rather than stay in the standard Travelodge / Premier Inn, we decided to give one of the family run hotels a try. Easy to find and park. We were early and unfortunately couldn't get into the room all though the owner did try for us. She was... More

What a friendly place, staff very nice, owner on site Annie, also Anna manager very helpful. Parking permit for free parking on the street (we were lucky and got right outside the front door). Breakfast lovely with a good choice and beautiful dining room. Bedrooms very dated but are in the process of having refurb, having seen the 2 superior... More

Great location, bedroom very dated and in need or revamping. Bathroom was tiny, tatty and shower just a dribble :-( The bed was incredibly hard, although the duvet was snuggly and warm! The bedroom had a few cobwebs and there was a draught coming through the window.

Since my last review, the quality update continues. Try room 15, its magnificent. Breakfast was a delight, get away from the chain hotels and stay here, where owners still care. Do not forget the location, shops, restaurants and the sea, all within striking distance without having to use a car.

Booked last minute for a weekend with friends and we could not have asked for a better location, views fantastic, very clean. Friendly staff, everything you would want from a hotel that you have at home. Great breakfast. Would highly recommend and I will definitely visit again.
