My partner and I were in Winchester for our anniversary. I had booked No.5 Bridge Street as a result of reading reviews on here, and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived until check out the staff were fantastic, they went above and beyond. The food was great value for money and delicious, with a good selection of wines.... More

Ominously, a DJ was setting up when we arrived Saturday evening. We returned to our room just before 10pm and patiently listened to the thumping tunes drowning out the TV until 12.15am, when my husband asked when it would cease. The staff wouldn't give a time but turned the volume down by a fraction. At 12.30am my husband returned to... More

There is always something odd about checking into a pub. We had to queue at the bar and was then just told to wait for the manager. Not much of a greeting. I was charged straightaway which is alway a bit odd. room was ok, rather small. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room but there wasn't any... More

We stayed for a weekend at No5 for my partner's 30th birthday. We had never been to Winchester before and will definately be returning as we had a great time. No 5 is in a great location and just a short walk away from central Winchester. We drove to Winchester and parked in a car park 2 minsaway from No5.... More

We stayed here for two nights. The cosy room is really small, but the bathroom is clean & chic. Looking at the floor plan, I guess it's worthwhile to spend a little more for the comfortable room. The location is great, just minutes walk to the city centre. Spent some time strolling along the river, just opposite the hotel. It's... More

This was the first time we stayed at No 5 Bridge Street. Normally we would go to Hotel Du Vin. However, we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The room was cosy, but absolutely perfect. Stylish with a great shower. Perfect for a weekend stay. We also ate in the restaurant and had a lovely meal. Great buzz... More

We were looking for a hotel for a weekend break in Winchester, but couldn't really stretch to some of the higher end places. We found No5 on the Internet, and despite being slightly worried about the location, made our booking. Arriving on Friday night, pleasantly surprised to find it really close to the centre of town. Parking a bit tricky,... More

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Well appointed and comfortable room. Didn't have dinner there but tried the ales - very good. Breakfast cooked to order and excellent. Thoroughly recommend this place especially ast is easy walking distance from Winchester's main attractions.

We stayed at No.5 Bridge Street for our anniversary in August. I found this gem on the internet by chance and as it had been recently refurbished we thought we would give it a try. The rate was very reasonable, and for the lovely room and facilities we experienced, definitely worth every penny. We had booked a table in the... More
