My friend & I were at the spa on Saturday and had a wonderful time. The hotel generally has a relaxed atmosphere and the facilities are very good. We both had the hot stones massage and would highly recommend it. The lunch in the brasserie was very well thought out. Plenty of choice, especially in the salad section and tasty,... More

We stayed here for one night and originally coming from St Albans we knew what to expect. The welcome from reception was fantastic and were given our room keys and directed to our mews Hotel Room. The room was spacious and we got a complimentary bowl of fruit, which consisted of just two apples, a banana and a bottle of... More

Stayed two nights at this lovely country hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very clean and well maintained and the staff were efficient and courteous. The spa area was good but don't know about treatments as didn't have any. Our room was well appointed and the bathroom was newly fitted. My only critism would be that the bed was... More

We stayed here for one night for my boyfriends birthday, having stayed for 2 nights year ago and been impressed. Receptionist friendly & helpful on arrival, even though she had only been there for 2 weeks and still was learning the ropes! She checked us in efficiently & booked us a cab for the evening as we were heading out... More

A perfect experience from the friendly welcome at the reception desk, though the beautiful room and excellent restaurant service. I didn't have any treatments in the spa but used the wet facilities - it was faultless. The wedding we went to took place in one of the many suites - the venue was impecable and the staff looked after us... More

"Nice" country hotel in small acreage, former home of the Mountbatton family. Rooms vary - some refurbed, some dated but they are refurbishing whole place at the moment. I've used it extensively for business. Breakfast is very good, dinner mediocre. Service generally is not great - reception rarely answer the phone whether you dial in or from your room. I've... More

I was treated to a spa break from all of my wonderful friends, so on a beautiful sunny Saturday in May we packed up the car and headed out of central London for a fabulous break away. When we arrived at Sopwell House we were blown away. The grounds were stunning and the whole place was buzzing with life. It... More

I was here recently and I was expecting a much higher standard especially in the bedrooms which were small and cramped. The front foyer is contemporary and bright and very welcoming but the decor throughout the hotel could do with an overhaul. The gardens are meticulous and kept so well. The staff are friendly and courteous.

We lucky to be upgraded from a basic room to a suite with a four poster bed. The bed was very comfortable the curtains kept out the bright sunshine in the morning.
