Rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. Check in time is a bit late compared to some other hotels so be careful of this if you're only staying for one night. It was also a bit noisy on the street with it being a saturday night. I felt some of the staff could have been a bit friendlier but... More

If you are searching for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Canterbury look no further than the Coach House and book early to avoid disappointment. With combined ratings of ‘excellent’ and ‘very good’ totaling 98%, guests are delighted to be lucky enough to find a vacancy and the reasons are clear: guesthouses simply do not come any better.... We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The Coach House was easy to locate & had space to park on-site. The lady who met us was very friendly & helpful & gave us a map of the city, signposting some recommended eateries. The location is ideal - within the city walls so a stone's throw from the main attractions... More

Arrived at 5p on a weekday and there was no parking left in front of the hotel ( only 3 -4 cars could be parked). There is a parking lot on a street in the back of the hotel, but it was difficult to find as the staff gave confusing directions. Got the family room on the top floor, which... More

This B&B is in a great spot: close to Canterbury East rail station, just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral, restaurants, shops and other attractions. Our hosts were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and provided wonderful breakfasts--adapting the options for each guest. The room was warm and comfortable. #1 has a settee and desk, helpful for longer stays and... More

It feels like home: the young family who run the place--charming husband/wife team and two young girls--are friendly, outgoing, helpful, and very informative. The rooms are very comfortable--I'd have liked an easy chair in my room, but other rooms DID--and I believe each room has its own bathroom. The breakfasts are great, the location is superb, and access is easy... More

2 friends and I spent Christmas week in Canterbury and had a memorable experience in the town and at The Coach House. Picturebook Canterbury, its Cathedral, many shops and restaurants, really does the holiday season well. The Coach House is a charming Georgian double home very conveniently located within the walled city and just a 5-minute stroll to the town... More

After a warm welcome, we explored the town. The location is absolutly ideal and the parking space in front of the B&B is free. Our rooms number 7 and number 5, where both different but cosy and warm. The breakfast was very nice and cooked as you like. We would stay there again ! More

Lovely find only minutes away from the centre of town; run by a friendly family who were very welcoming. Lovely Georgian house tastefully decorated and very clean. Lovely comfy bed, great shower and fine breakfast (I did not have a cooked breakfast but this was on offer). I stayed at The Coach House on business but I would happily stay... More

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Being in the city centre, the opening of the new Marlowe theatre and the last 2 weeks being the Canterbury Arts and Music festival the streets were slightly more lively than usual. Being in a city centre, over a weekend, it is normal to hear... More
