We spent the last bank holiday in Canterbury and we stayed at Amanda’s House for two nights. We had the Chaucer room, very comfy and with a nice view from the window. Breakfast was great, with different choices and really high-quality local products. The dining room was lovely! Amanda was very nice and friendly, always ready to give advice and... More

Just spent 3 nights at Amanda House and it absolutely deserves the positive reviews it has here. Our room was comfortable, clean and well decorated with a lot of small extra touches such as complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee and access to fresh milk in the well equipped guest kitchen downstairs. The kitchen along with the guest lounge next door... More

Just spent 3 nights here. Booked after reading previous reviews and this place does not disappoint. Lovely clean, freshly decorated, room, well appointed to a high standard, comfortable bed and high quality sanitary fittings. The finishing touches make all the difference, lovely toiletries and complimentary bottled water - small fridge in room very useful, tea coffee and good quality biscuits.... More

I usually spend hours trawling through Trip Advisor searching for reviews before booking a place to stay, but this time I left it to my partner, and she came up trumps! Amanda House is simply superb. Parking right outside the front door, and a warm friendly greeting when you ring the bell, that sets the standard, Amanda is lovely, the... More

What I found was as if somebody had phoned ahead and said that a hotel inspector was coming to stay. So nice to be able to park up outside. A friendly greeting from Amanda herself. The decor is impeccable, freshly painted and each room with individual decor to a high standard. Each room has a name related to Canterbury. I... More

Of the four places that I stayed in England, this is the only one I would consider a real bed and breakfast. It was a very pleasant home that took in guests. The bed really was the best of the four places I stayed. So was the breakfast, made and served with care. The owner stayed in the breakfast room... More

We stayed here for one night recently as we were visiting the town. The room was excellent but the high spot was the owner Amanda who was friendly professional and went out of here way to to make us welcome and fit around our requirements. .
