The location is totally stunning. I thought that we had made a wrong turn. We arrived in Canterbury before check in time. Went to the reception desk and got permission to park in their large lot. The hotel itself is quite good, the service was good. The actual rooms internally are well appointed but my room faced the back of the hotel and was nosiy with an airconditioning unit - I am not sure if rooms facing the front of the hotel would be affected by road noise as well?

Great rooms. We were wary when we arrived late on a Saturday to find a wedding party in full flow and noisy, and we were on the first floor, but we did not need to worry, when the room door closed so did the noise and the drink on the bar later was fun. Perfect location with a short walk... More

Just come over from France in the tunnel and headed for Canterbury looking for a hotel. I could not have found a better place. Reception very friendly had an amazing dinner with two family members and what bliss the bed was so comfortable, lovely bedroom and lovely bathroom, woke up early for my next step of the journey to Wales... We have stayed at the newly refurbished Abbots Barton twice over the last month, and have thoroughly enjoyed each stay. We found the staff professional, polite and well trained.
