8 of us stayed at the Travel lodge in Canterbury for one evening, as we had a brewery tour booked in Faversham and then we were going out in Canterbury for the evening. We booked this hotel because 1. The price and 2. The location, i was really concerned due to the fact i had never stayed in a travel... More

I have just spent three nights in this Travelodge in Canterbury. (Have visited many Travelodges, so knew what to expect.) The location is a perfect base to explore this lovely city. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was beautifuly clean. Room 105 was bigger than a regular Travelodge room, very quiet, and had the... More

The hotel has been renovated and is clean and bright. One drawback is that there is only one chair in each room and it is a hard plastic one. The staff are extremely helpful and the Hotel is in a good position to visit Canterbury. You have to cross under a busy road to get to the High St. More

Booked online in advance - £27 one night. Big room, clean, good en suite and good shower. Room cold, heater small and ineffective - take thick pyjamas! Comfortable bed, no noise at night. Breakfast ok - not much choice but plenty in the buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Perfect choice when away on business. More

Arrived at the hotel about 8pm Saturday 7th January. Parking no problem, checked into room 5 which was clean and comfortable. After going out for dinner and a walk, retired to bed to be awoken at 5am by noise which we felt was coming from above - sounded like people walking on a hard floor, heavy weights being moved around... we stayed here at halloween weekend 2011 , its a lovely looking hotel from the outside, but seemed to have the traditional feel ripped out of the inside, its a verypretty touristy town so it wouldve been nice to retain a little of the original features, the staff were pleasant, the rooms were quiet, clean and did the job and... We booked when travel lodge had an offer and only paid £12 a night. The rooms are large and the bathrooms clean. It was quiet and we slept well (except we could hear next door as clear as day, it sounded like they were talking down a pipe at us!). The location is superb and parking great. Apart from hearing... At the sale price of £29 this was brilliant value, particularly as it included free parking. The rooms are more or less what you would expect of a travelodge - our shower looked new and was really powerful. We had a room at the back, which was exceptionally quiet, so we enjoyed a great night's sleep. Didn't use the cafe... More

The hotel is very well placed for sight seeing in Canterbury. A stones throw from the shops & restaurants. The welcome at reception was pleasant & helpful, no form filling. I was advised that my allocated room was "cozy" on the ground floor and advised that it could be changed if required as they had spare rooms, which I did.... More
