An OK hotel. Dated decor, very old bed that sagged and springs could be felt. Friendly staff, decent breakfast, clean room. OK for the price. 15 min walk to town. Located near busy road but rooms out the back so very quiet. More

On the 28th night of a motoring tour, we were delighted by this lovely hotel, definitely one of the best overnight stays of the entire trip. Large comfortable room, helpful friendly staff, first class breakfast - perfectly prepared using quality ingredients. The location is excellent, 10 - 15 minutes pleasant walk through the riverside gardens to the heart of the... More

My family stayed here for our first two nights in the Uk and it was a great choice for us. The beds were so comfortable and our room was at the back near a rear entrance which worked for us as we had jetlag and woke up at 3am, so we didn't wake anyone when went to Asda to do... More

Stayed one night and was not expecting too much as the price was so reasonable. however it was excellent. The room far exceeded the price band. Comfortable. Lots of towels, soap, shampoo. Lovely and warm and tea and coffee. Very quiet rooms with comfortable beds. The manager Jackie could not have been friendlier and helpful. The full English Breakfast was amazingly... More

Below par for our recent visit! room comfortable and clean, restaurant very busy with Xmas parties so food was poor. If only the staff were more cheerful? More

I booked he Victoria Hotel in Canterbury for 2 nights when I was going to a conference. I chose it because of the location so that I could get to the University of Kent and my husband could walk into Canterbury for the day. This was great for us. The hotel was well priced through booking.com and we found it... More

I booked a one night stay in this hotel for the end of November 2011. We booked the executive room because of the jacuzzi bath and four poster bed. When we arrived, the room smelt of roast dinners and stale chip fat. It make all our clothes smell. Adding to this the four poster bed is in definite need of... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a few-week trip across the UK. During our travels, we saw it all in hotel stays--the excellent, the "it'll do" and the downright horror show. As we were booking our hotels on the fly since we were not following a planned itinerary, hotels were sometimes a catchers-catch-can. The Victoria is an... More

I can only assume I stayed at a different hotel - as none of the reviews posted bear any relation to the establishment I found myself at. Horrid ! More

We booked to come here for two nights for a get-a-way break. On arrival reception staff friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the executive suite. Which we hadn't booked, but they had allocated this to us. Nice big room, with four poster bed and jacuzzi bath. Unfortunately the bath didn't work, and the room smelt of roast dinners constantly as... More
