Disgusting. Mold all over the bathroom. The hotels restaurant was horrible. The absolute worst food the whole time I've been in the UK (two weeks). And this place wasn't cheap either. There were also drunk fights outside our room at nite.

The County Hotel is very poorly occupied due to its worn out rooms and tatty decor coupled with appalling food. They seem to supplement their income by plundering guests credit cards. Any excuse to charge your account is used often without even notifying you. If you ring and reserve and later cancel your credit card will be charged £45.

Having seen the reviews of place (after being booked in) I had fears of having to bathe in bleach after my stay ! However it wasn't any where near as bad as I expected. Avoid this place. We had to change rooms twice: once because they got the booking wrong, and then again because the bed broke when one of the children sat on it. I will start with the positive, the staff are wonderful, caring people. Unfortunately, they are working at a hotel that comes from the Twighlight Zone. It is old, worn, and run down.
