We stayed at the Chapel House for two lovely nights, hosts were very accommodating, welcoming and helpful with information about our stay. Rooms were spotlessly clean, bed comfy, beding and towels fresh and breakfast was top notch, we stayed as a family which included a 8 year old and a grandmother who also felt welcome and comfortable. I would recommend... More

As you can see we went back again for a couple more nights in March! We love walking the hills and this B&B is central for some of the Lakes fabulous walks. Our hosts, Fiona & Tina are both knowledgeable of the area and helped us with suggestions. Red Screes, Fairfield Horseshoe, Wandsfell pike paths are all on the doorstep,... More

Good location, friendly owners. Extremely clean. Great breakfast. Only thing to improve would be the tv in the room. It didn't really matter though as I visit the lakes to be in the great outdoors or the restaurants and pubs, not watching the telly.

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to Chapel House, that says it all ! We arrived in the early evening to a very warm welcome after a journey down from The Highlands. The bedroom was large, comfortable, extremely clean and tidy with a lovely ensuite with a great shower and plenty of hot water. After a fantastic sleep... More

This B&B is situated within a couple of minutes walk of the center of Ambleside. Host was helpful and came out to help us park. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the fruit was fresh each day. The room was small and the ensuite minuscule, with the noisiest flushing toilet I have ever experienced. The shower was cold on the... More

We spent 3 nights at Chapel House in a comfortable room with a good bed. The breakfast was very good. The location is excellent - close to the main part of Ambleside yet away from the noise. Fiona was very helpful, asking about our plans each day, warning us to avoid an area where a major triathlon was taking place... More

My friend and I stayed in this guest house for two nights and found it to be quite lovely. The breakfast was great value in itself and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. the staff were courteous and friendly (and not overly forceful!) and it is right on the edge of the main road, which was great.

Very good value. We stayed in a small but very comfortable room which was very clean and looked newly decorated, and the bed was really comfy. Excellent breakfast and the host was really helpful advising us on local walks which we did! Fantastic location 30 seconds to nearest pub and ambleside is great in the evening with loads of pubs... Breakfast was really good. Host was pleasant. Location is good to explore the lakes rather than a pretty little village. B and b is good value rather than a treat. Lakes can be expensive and i found this place to be reasonable for the price and it was clean

Room was very small and furnishings pretty tired. Breakfasts were fine. Hosts didn't seem really interested in guests.
