The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of Ambleside. We have stayed here before. However, this time, as opposed to eating out, we had a meal in the "in house" bistro as we had a £25 voucher. Unfortunately the food was poor, luke warm chips etc....etc....Wish we had not used the voucher and had gone elsewhere!

A most welcome outdoor hottub after a days climbing. A small but well equipped room and the most comfy bed for a great nights sleep. Everything we needed - 10 of us stayed here and whilst some had rooms without a view we were all happy with the hotel. Friendly helpful staff, wonderful breakfast buffet, lovely lounge areas and the spa exceeded all expectations. Would definitely stay here again.
