This must have been my 10th visit to Cherry Garth and I love it everytime! Perfect location, halfway between the lake and the town, so not far to get to many restaurants. The cherry garth is a tired looking shabby b&b. Over priced for the poor level of accommodation. Poor quality furniture and stained cheapish bedding is simply not acceptable for the prices charged. I stayed at Cherry Garth on a wet weekend's walking in the Lakes. The rooms are clean and tidy, comfortable and well- equipped. The breakfast was delicious, and the welcome one of the friendliest I've known, from local sisters who obviously understand and care about the Lakes. Fantastic location right in the centre of Ambleside- definitely a place to recommend! More
