Very conveniently located in a quiet road just off the centre of Ambleside. The owners keep bees hence the name (Kingswood Bee & Bee) and there is a lot of bee related items around the B&B. The honey at breakfast was delicious. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and extras as was the tea and coffee. They gave you... More

Nothing to complain about at all, lovely warm welcome which continued for our stay, cozy comfy bedrooms which were amply stocked with refreshments, bathroom had lovely smellies, one of the most comfiest beds which equaled 2 good nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious too. Excellent value for money and... More

Just back from a two night stay at the excellent Kingswood. David and Christine were top hosts. They made you feel very welcome. Accommodation (Cartmel) was excellent, every need was catered for, from Coffe/tea/horlicks to biscuits in the room. The breaksfasts are to die for (full English is highly recommended) and the home grown honey is not to be missed.... More

What a great find! David and Christine were super hosts, warm, friendly and with a good sense of humour. Our room (Elterwater) was comfortable and well equiped with all our needs. An added attraction to this room is the patio doors, which lead out to a table and chairs, ideal for a that nice cuppa and a read after a... More

This is a lovley B&B in a very good location, close to all of the pubs, restaurants and shops but still tucked away in a quiet part of town. David & Christine (and Skip the dog) were very welcoming and friendly, David especially made us laugh due to his very dry sense of humour. There were lovely touches in our... More
