I stayed at Fairy Glen a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much I booked again to celebrate my 40th birthday with family and friends, 10 of us in total! We stayed in February just after the snow and the views from the house were amazing. The house is fantastic and was as good as when I stayed... More

The location of the property cannot be matched. Perfect walks from the door----just abandon the car--which is what we like.We booked it for a slightly more luxurious stay than we might normally expect as this was a much anticipated 40 year reunion and we were a bit disappointed. The shower rooms are superb and there was hot water in abundance... More

The house sleeps 10 and is advertised with 4 double ensuite rooms, 1 twin bedded room and separate WC.   The sitting room comfortably seats 10 and the television can be moved if required.  There are numerous televisions in the house if extra viewing is needed.  The dining table comfortably seats 10  - on this occasion a chair had been... We are a group of four couples and stayed at Fairy Glen over Easter. With four en-suite double bedrooms and living rooms big enough for all, it fitted our needs perfectly. Even the kitchen coped well with group cooking! The house is well decorated; a mix of modern and period styles that works well in this house, and is equipped... More

A group of 6 ladies stayed at Fairy Glen and loved this house. The stay was fantastic value because we had a huge house to enjoy and most of us had our own double ensuite room. The whole house is beautifully appointed and in a great location just a short stroll from the village. There was some garden furniture so... More

Stayrd at Fairy Glen for a birthday weekend. Located in a lovely spot walking distance from Grasmere shops. The house is very spacious and all rooms decorated beautifully. Plenty of televisions, various ways to play music and lots of fridge space! We were very lucky as the weather was superb so had chance to sit in the garden. I would... More

On the face of it this is a very good property well maintained (excellent en-suite bathrooms) in an excellent location, but let down by some basics. Downstairs is very cold (we did stay in the very cold week in Feb 2012) but the under floor heating didn't work, whilst upstairs we had to turn the rads and thermostats down as... More

The guest was one of a large party of men who stayed at Fairy Glen during one of the coldest weeks this winter.   The cost per person for the 7-night stay equated to £14.10 per person per night, which we feel is extremely good value given the quality of the accommodation and the location, and is less than the... We've just spent a week at Fairy Glen for Christmas 2011. It was magnificent property and regardless of the rain, we all had a fabulous time. We had a week spent with family, good wine and excellent food. We were a little nervous, having read the previous reviews that had been posted regarding the property in the week prior to... More

Stayed at Fairy Glen in September with 8 of us in total. Beautiful house with a great location and the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Sad to say but the owners are selling but if you have the chance to stay here then try to as you won't be disappointed. I believe it use to be a b&b... More

We stayed at Fairy Glen in January 2011. The B&B is in a lovely spot in Grasmere, about a 5 or 6 minute walk out of the centre. The owners, Sam and Sharon, were both very welcoming and were always more than willing to recommend things to see and do and help out with any queries. Our room was very... More
