Possibly the best choice of breakfast we have ever experienced: excellent fresh fruit salad (not a tinned grapefruit in sight), good choice for vegetarians, lovely homemade bread and muffins. My family and I have stayed in 3 different B & B's in Penrith, and Bank House is by far and way the best one. Sarah and Deano are amazing, helpful, and kind. Our breakfast was always delicious, always a treat. My 2 1/2 year old son STILL talks about Deano's porridge and eggs. Sarah is always there to help... More

Superb B&B probably the best in Penrith. A steady walk into Penrith, but you have to work off the excellent brakfast somehow. Great choice excellently prepared home made bread fresh fruit the list goes on. Sarah is very helpful offering places to see where to eat how to get there, she can even tell you which pub does the best... More

Wonderfully helpful hosts, lovely room and quiet setting. Easy walk down the hill into town for dinner or drinks. Very nice garden and view over the area. Breakfast was really tasty and all local produce which very nice. We would stay here again without question. More

I now use this as my base when visiting clients in Cumbria. The couple who run this place are friendly and always helpful with pub/meal recommendations and making a decent cake and coffee on arrival. Stayed here 4 or 5 times and in three of their rooms - all done to a good standard with a decent breakfast offering for... More

My wife and I have used this Bed & Breakfast twice this summer and on the second occasion we were joined by our daughter, her husband and our six month old granddaughter. These comments reflect a collective opinion of the whole group. We booked out first visit using Trip Advisor’s advice but the picture of the front of the building... More

We stayed here with 3 other couples during a charity cycle ride from Ascot to Glasgow and it turned out our best choice of 7 overnight stops on the way. Sarah was a great hostess and couldn't do enough to help us, providing local maps and even washing the cycle wear of our 4 cyclists who had been soaked through!... More
