Stayed last weekend and was really impressed! We stayed in room 26 which had panoramic views (2 sides of the room) of Windermere and the fells in the background. The room was huge and had a separate area with lovely old sofa to watch TV. The Saturday was warm and bright so we took advantage of coffee on the terrace... More

didn't stay here but visited on the way to somewhere else. Had morning coffee, a brandy and home made biscuits - cost £20. Fantastic value and very very nice staff. Staff kindly showed us a couple of rooms so we could see the accommodation. Will definitely be back, this time to stay.

Stayed at this fabulous hotel Easter this year only booked it on seeing the tv programme and was not disappointed the staff were so friendly food delicious the room we had overlooked the lake Wow seeing the sunrise and set was quite breathtaking hope to go back soon
