From walking in the door until our departure our hosts were very warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was first class and the furnishings and decor were, in the words of Craig Revel Horwood fab-u-lous!. 'Fine dining' would aptly describe the food and dining experience. We stayed here for a mid-week break in December after reading positive reviews. However, as frequent visitors to the Lake District, we would say that there are other far more welcoming and friendly establishments to stay at that are much better value for money. More

My boyfriend and I stayed here in the last weekend of January (2012) and had a fantastic time. The couple that own the place are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and very clean. We had a three course meal there on our first night and found the food exceptional. I would definitely recommend to anyone. More
