Upon arrival we were greeted with open arms, almost like returning home to a family even though we'd never visited the Hillcrest previously. We were given directions to our room and were offered information on surrounding areas which was very nice and unexpected as we have never even been offered by much larger hotels in larger cities such as Sheffield.... We booked here as it was stated "Dog Friendly" and we needed to stay over following an unexpected death in the family. It is a lovely family run hotel with nice rooms and great views. My mum and I booked 2 rooms for 5 nights in October 2012. The location was perfect for exploring both uphill and downhill Lincoln. It was an easy walk both ways.
