Great location to the tube and conveniences. Little shop almost next door and a great fish shop. Very cheap. Rooms were a decent size but were quite warm due to lack of air conditioning and ability to open window that much. Yes London did get warm! Front office staff did a great job and were always friendly. Our issues stemmed... More

I gave up going to Travelodge several years ago because I found standards had slipped with dirty noisy rooms minimal fittings poor quality beds. When our friends booked four rooms at Waterloo for a birthday weekend we were apprehensive and packed ear plugs towels etc and expected the worst. This hotel turns out to be far above expectations. We had... More

I stayed here for two nights from a Thursday - Saturday. I have only ever stayed in A Travelodge once before, and it was horrendous, so I didn't have high expectations of this venue, and only booked it as it was a last minute plan to visit London. However, I was pleasantly surprised! It cost around £84 per night, which... More

I was anxious that this would be noisy and uncomfortable, but it turned out to be a real surprise. My room, on the 8th floor, was extremely quiet, comfortable, and clean, and the staff all went out of their way to be helpful. But don't forget - there is never any shampoo in a Travelodge....

First of all, this is a budget hotel. It is only an easy 5 minute walk from Waterloo Railway/Tube Station, along a main road; so a bit more secure in this kind of area.. The room was clean, if Spartan. Clothes storage is a shelf and a short hanging rail. Air conditioning is by an electric fan. My bathroom happened... More

I stayed here last wee. It is very good value for money, the room has been upgraded, very comfortable double bed, very clean, very clean bathroom and good shower. Only minor issue was tv remote was broken. Staff on reception were lovely and very helpful. Not the best area to stay in but OK if you need to be here.... More

The hotel is located really well and has easy access. It is relatively cheap and with the newer rooms the bed is comfy and there is now a proper duvet instead of a sheet and 4 pillows. However this is where the praise ends. Every time we returned to the hotel the room key didn't work and considering we were... More

I've stayed at the hotel for business on several occasions over the past 12 months. It's cheap and convenient for both the underground and Waterloo overground services which are about a 10 minute walk away. Between there and the hotel you'll find a couple of small supermarkets and several restaurants and take-aways. The rooms are fairly basic (no phone, aircon... More

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for two nights in January, back when it was freezing and snowing a lot. We have often stayed with Travelodge in other locations due to the good value and central locations. The Waterloo hotel is only a short walk from the underground (although the snow made it seem a lot longer!), which... More

The usual Travelodge formula just south of the river Thames about 500 yards west from Waterloo railway and subway station (easy walking distance). There are restaurants, left luggage and money exchange facilities at the railway station. Our double room was small but adequate. There is a bar and restaurant area on the ground floor near to reception. We only had... More
