As a birthday treat for my mother, I decided to take her for afternoon tea. Unfortunately, Claridges was booked solid but the helpful receptionist told me they could book their sister hotel, The Connaught, for the date and time I needed. Reviews of afternoon tea here were few and far between (a worry for someone that relies on these things)... More

We didn't actually stay at the Connaught, but just popped in for a drink in the Connaught Bar. WOW! The Art Deco décor was lovely, the music was super-funky, the crowd was young-ish, cool and very stylish, and the cocktails were absolutely amazing. My husband had a Bloody Mary, which seemed to have a dozen ingredients and countless steps to... More

My husband and I spent one night at the hotel as a special pre-baby/anniversary treat. It was fantastic! Beautiful interior, amazing service, great bars and restaurants, and fantastic spa. We got a complimentary upgrade to a luxury king room, in the modern part of the hotel. Lovely room, very high spec. Having a stroll around that area of Mayfair is... More

After visiting The Connaught seven times since its reopening I feel that I need to correct my original glowing review. The last visit was not a good one. I had it in writing a request for a non-smoking room. What did I get? A cramped room on the 5th floor with cigar smoke coming in under the connecting door. I... More

Booked into the Connaught after having read reviews. Overall could not fault the service, room, amenities of the hotel. Only drawback was our room was not ready when we arrived, drink in the bar, had to wait a while, but we're given drinks which was good. More

We love this hotel. Like staying in an English countryside home. Elegant, comfortable, rather on the smaller side for a luxury London hotel, with considerably less than 100 rooms. Superb restaurants and multiple interesting bars. But never book here using one of the big US mass discounters because you might very well wind up like us in a "mother -in-law,"... More

I'm the kind of traveler that maybe needs a little more than the average traveler. For instance, I need my slippers. NOT just at turn-down, but the moment I check into the hotel. If they're not there, I call. I don't like to have to play the guessing game about where the hair dryer might be. If I can't find... More

I've stayed at the Connaught on multiple occasions over the past year and can wholeheartedly recommend it. It is the best hotel in the Maybourne Group - more up to date than Claridge's and better situated than the Berkeley. Please don't misunderstand me, both of those are fine hotels and if you specifically need to be in those locations then... More

After extending my London trip, the Claridges didn't have my room available for the following nights I stayed on so they booked me the Connaught. At first I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect. But immediately upon arriving, I was so relieved to be staying there. The bar was one of the best ones there, the rooms... More

From the moment we walked up past Berkeley Square towards the Connaught where the water feature in the square in the front of the hotel was kicking out fog and mist to create a kind of winter wonderland to the moment we left, we were completely overwhelmed with what we experienced. Having not stayed at the Connaught before we didnt... More
