I stayed at the Met for one night on a business trip. What a superb, friendly welcome I received! Sometimes smiles are fake but the team on reception offered one of the most genuine and warm welcomes I can recall at a city hotel. With its chic bar and Nobo restaurant, the hotel is attractively styled in a slightly minimalist... More

I love this hotel. The rooms have big windows, most with Hyde Park views. the internet is fast and free. The location is great. It is near everything! it has a great bar. The only disappointment was the breakfast - tres ordinaire! More

Over the past 10 years I have spent at least 5 days per month in London. That makes it somewhere around 600 nights and of all the hotels I've tried (probably 30), there are two I keep coming back to. Metropolitan is my favorite for these simple reasons: Design of rooms (even the smallest rooms are generous), location, staff, food,... More

This was one of London's first boutique hotels that started the trend, built in 1997. They've made some nice improvements to keep the hipness factor up (including a nice remodeled gym and crisp interiors). My review would have been four stars for value (I got the room on Hotwire, and felt the stay was genuinely comparable to other 5 star... More

Thank you for your feedback. I am very pleased that you like our recent improvements, particularly our new gym that opened in January. I am, however, very sorry to hear that you were affected by the loss of the internet at the hotel when you stayed. Internet is of fundamental importance to our guests, for that reason access has always... More

We spent four nights for a recent business trip. The staff is so friendly, helpful and attentive. The room is on the smaller side, but comfortable and filled with every possible need. The bathroom had towel warmers which was exceptional when coming out of the full walk-in shower! Only complaint is the walls are on the thin side, and you... More

I stayed two nights in a double room en-suite. On arrival I was welcomed warmly at reception and my bags, taken from the taxi, we're whisked away to be taken to my room. The room was clean and well appointed albeit I had a dodgy view which I didn't mind. The bathroom was pristine, something that speaks volumes about a... More

Booked this as a little treat for a weekend of shopping/sightseeing even though I only live 10 miles away! Was upgraded to a Metropolitan room after only booking a City room - wow - had a lovely view of Hyde Park and Park Lane. Great location as we were able to walk to HarveyNicks (taxi back obviously!) one day and... More

Awesome location in Mayfair across from Hyde Park. Four Seasons was across the street. Nobu restaurant was amazing. Charming staff. Informative concierge. Small rooms. Stunning wooden furnishings in room. Small lcd tv with nice selection of channels. Windows opened a bit for fresh air. Bathroom was recently redone. Super rain drop shower head. More

We really only stayed at this hotel because we had won a voucher for one nights stay at a Charity Auction but as we were travelling from a distance, decided to book an extra night which we would pay for ourselves. We had asked for an early check in when we booked but knowing London hotels well, were not holding... More

What an amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were looked after very well. It is rather difficult traveling around with a two year old but the hotel sorted out all of our needs before we even turned up. Nothing was too much trouble! We had connecting rooms with our friends which we did... More
