Great location for sightseeing, Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, Hotel very clean and quiet at night and I found beds very comfy if you like a firm mattress. Small kitchen area was clean. Bathroom was clean but the shower was more of a trickle.
Only negative thing really is that the hotel is 4 star so if you are looking for luxury its probably not for you, but we just wanted a base so found it great value for money and it met all our needs.

We attended as a family and the hotel exceeded all our expectations. The hotel kitchen was fully stocked with crockery and the beds (including the sofa bed) were very comfy with quality linen. We will definitely stay here on our next visit!

We loved this aparthotel, it served us really well and was in a fantastic location close to Covent Garden and Holborn tube station.

The staff were excellent, looked after luggage and were on hand if we had any issues. Our room was third floor at the back and was very quiet apart from the Saturday night when there was music playing into the early hours from an adjoining building, but not so loud that you couldn’t sleep. There were a few small issues with the dishwasher and a window which didn’t really bother us too much but I flagged them up to reception, which I had to go out if my way to do. On check out no one asked if everything had been ok, hence 4 stars.

We had a one bed apartment which worked well for us and a teen - who didn’t complain about the sofa bed so must have been comfy! The kitchenette was good for breakfast and making drinks. There were several cafes, a Waitrose and a bakery opposite and we enjoyed popping out to grab bread and a latte in the morning.

Due to Covid they weren’t doing breakfasts, but the lounge area was very nice with a free coffee machine

Lovely little home from home. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here for 1.5 months when I first relocated to London. It's in an amazing location, with the tube station merely steps away. The room is decent, amenities are of high quality although not all of them look new. Laundry room is on the ground floor and although it's mentioned that you get free laundry once per week, the tokens were always unavailable and the front desk staff wasn't always helpful with it.

If you're thinking about working in the room, the experience won't be best because the room is so dark. My curtain couldn't be fully opened for some reason so my eyes felt really strained at the end of the day. Soundproof is also bad. There was a family with two young kids living next door for about 2 weeks while I was there. The crying and screaming sounded as if it was right next to me.

Getting help from front desk was quite frustrating as well. Most of the time I got a confused reaction when I stated my queries. For things like where is the best pick up location for taxi when I move out, or requesting for a dish scourer. They didn't seem to be well trained to help the guests, nor make us feel welcome.

Building is quite old so be ready for major wear and tear. During my time there, I've witnessed broken main door, collapsed ceiling at the walkway, and a malfunctioned elevator.

Me and my Husband booked to stay here for our anniversary weekend (we booked a studio). Overall we was very pleased with our room. The studio was very spacious, with alot of lighting including natural light. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils such as plates, cups, glasses, pots etc.
The bathroom had a bathtub with a standing shower which had great water pressure. And the air-conditioning did its job throughout the night. The location was excellent.

Our only complaint was the check in and check out times which was why we gave it a 4* instead of a 5*. The check in time was 3pm while the check out time was 11am. As far as we were made aware, there wasn't an option for us to pay to extend the check out time which meant we couldn't fully enjoy our night in London.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, 2 adults and two teens. Double bed in bedroom, two single sofa beds in living room. Apartment had microwave, hob (no oven) fridge, pots, utensils etc. Very quiet, no noise at night (we stayed in apartment 429), clean and plenty of pillows and bedding. Staff really helpful and recycling centre in the laundry was great to see!
Very convenient location with Sainsbury's, McDonald's, Waitrose, pizza express, pubs and wetherspoons within minutes from the building. Ten minutes walk from British Museum, 15 minutes walk to Leicester Square or just two stops on the tube.
Would of liked some cleaning products to clean the bathroom and the floor, but would stay again and highly recommend

Great location 2 min walk away from Holborn tube station, easy access to Central London. Spacious and clean room with all amenities. Bathroom grouting could of done with a good scrub though. Quiet room over night too.

Friendly reception staff with key card access to the front door so felt very safe. Maccies, Pret and Waitrose just outside so easy to get snacks/food if needed.

Let start with some positives:-
Great location, very close to tube station, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and within walking distance of many tourist attractions.
The area is very safe with both foot and vehicle traffic, travelling as a solo female I never felt unsafe at any time of the day or early evening.
The room was well appointed with all you needed in a well set up mini kitchen for cooking some meals, although there was occasionally a cooking smell in the hallways when other guests were cooking something very strong.
The main areas, including a fantastic (app. required) laundry were always clean and tidy. There is a seating area adjacent to reception where you can make yourself a drink and relax.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom mid grade with hot water (more about that later)
Now to the negatives:-
There were two issues whilst I was staying here, one was no hot water for one weekend and no wifi for another weekend. Whilst these issues do occur I'm sure at other hotels from time to time the communication was poor around these issues, with staff not able to answer when these issues would be resolved. After quite a few to and fro's the reception staff finally found another hotel for me for one night so at least I could have a shower.
Before I checked out I took the oppurtunity to sit down with Marco, the front officer manager to provide him with my constructive feedback about my stay and the issues including communication. Marco thanked me for taking the time to speak to him, and hopefully my feedback will assist management in future if issues like this arise again.
Although these issues did arise and detracted from my overall happiness with the stay I would be happy to stay here again in future as long as issues identified are dealt with promptly and communication has improved.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing Citadines Holborn as your accommodation during your holiday in London. We are happy to read that you have enjoyed the location at Citadines Holborn. Nevertheless, unfortunately, I believe that during your last stay you have been affected by the no hot water which happened last year as well as no wifi. Unfortunately it was a circumstance out of our control. I am happy to share that Citadines Holborn is going to be under renovation this year. We hope to welcome you back, hence you will see the improvements of our rooms. Once again, thank you for staying with us. Warm Regards, The Management.

Bad maintenance of the rooms. Tiles are supposed to be attached to the floor and not chipped especially considering the amount that's charged for the room.
Air-conditioning was difficult to adjust, it was either freezing cold or hot.
Chipped wood on the shelfs didn't approve the overall appearance.

We stayed in a deluxe studio which was very modern, well equipped with small stove, fridge, microwave, kitchenware. Bed very comfortable, nice linen, bathroom excellent plenty of hot water and the water was very clean, no chlorine smell, no scum in the kettle unlike other hotels we have stayed in. Location next to Holborn tube, also easy walking distance from Oxford and Regent streets. Waitrose and Sainsbury stores very close. Definitely a great hotel for families with kids who don’t want to eat meals in restaurants.
