Holiday Inn this isn't! Wish I could afford to stay here again but suspect it was once in a lifetime. You know you have arrived when your hotel doesn't have a check-in counter. Stayed here for one night at the weekend, before we set off I emailed the staff asking if we could have an early check in due to trainarriving mid morning. Booked on a last minute site, wasn't sure about hotel but it was great, nice rooms, good location,the most helpfully staff I have ever had in a hotel in London. We've stayed at the Montcalm a handful of times now and we're never disappointed. It's a lovely hotel - staff are very friendly. Breakfast delicious. Very good service too. They knew it was my birthday and really spoilt me- will be booking up soon to go back! More

This was our first visit to London and the Hotel didn't disappoint. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The interior is opulent but modern and the aromas, as you enter, were fabulous. A truly memorable experience at an affordable price in the centre of London. More

I stayed here recently, got a good deal via booking.com. Was really suprised at the price and the quality. Staff is very nice, very helpful. Location worked great for our meetings. Didnt order room service, so cant comment on the food. But the room was great, quiet, clean, comfortable. Definitely would recommend this place. More

We had in fact booked at a different hotel, but due to 'maintenance issues' (I suspect double-booking more likely) we received a phone call to explain that we'd been relocated to the Montcalm.
