I had a small single room on the ground floor and stayed for three nights. The Diplomat is a tidy and very clean hotel. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful, as is the lady who serves your breakfast. Breakfast starts a bit late (7.30) and I missed it twice because of that, but do go for it if... More

For several years that I keep choosing this hotel when I come to London. Old style residence in Belgravia area. Always clean. Nice service from all the staff members. Correct price for London. Not far away from Knightsbridge Metro Station. Free wifi. More

This hotel is located in a high income district of London, Belgavia. Margaret Thatcher, lives near by and the filming location of the Eaton Place Bellamy home in BBC's great drama series, "Upstairs, Downstairs", is just a block away from the hotel. Our hotel room which was located on the first floor was large, clean and pleasant, but not air... More

Located in a quiet area, but close to public transportation and very short waits for a taxi. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff attentive, breakfast was included and excellent. Many options, coffee refills (only time in England I had enough coffee with my meal). The sausages were the best, Fresh fruit, eggs, beans, toast, fruit juices, and coffee. I can't... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on a tour. London is very expensive so to find a fairly priced place in a ritzy district is rare. What really makes this hotel special is its staff. To a person, they could not have been more friendly, welcoming or helpful. Our room ($255.night) was in the basement level. Walked out our door to... More

I stayed here as it is a hotel that has some rooms for naughty people like me who enjoy smoking. There was none of the “oh, it depends whether we have any available when you arrive”, there is a very positive ‘can do’ attitude about all the staff, which is great. Knowledgeable staff who gave me handy advice on tubes... More

Having stayed here several time, the last time will be our final time. The hotel has gone down significantly in the last 15 years. Recently, I fell down their narrow stairs and broke two ribs. In the confusion, I left a large bag of souveniers in the hall. Upon returning to the US, I contacted the hotel to have them... More

We arrived early in the morning at 6.30 am. The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. They stored our bags until our room was available later that day. They helped us organise a day tour using their internet. Our room on the top floor (triple share) was very large. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom... More

I stayed here for two nights on separate occasions, as a woman alone l felt totally ok in this part of London The building in quirky with an old fashioned lift and a domed ceiling. The decore is a little shabby but the rooms are comfortable and l am a smoker and moved to a smoking room, The staff are... More
