Spent one night at hotel on a business trip. Arrived around 11.00 pm and reception staff were changing over to night staff. No food available. Room small but clean. Breakfast very basic with lots of "fry" but not a lot of fruit .

We stayed here for three nights in mid-May 2013. The location was perfect for us, and convenient to underground access. Our room was clean and decently equipped, although the bathroom definitely is due for a refurbishment. Having the Fullers on the ground floor was nice, and the food there was good and well priced. Staff was helpful and friendly. We... More

My 13 year old daughter and I found Mad Hatter to be a perfect spot to base for seeing London in a few days. Rooms were clean and adequate. Coffee and Tea service in the room is a bonus. Ask at the bar each night for fresh milk and they will oblige. Continental breakfast not included but well worth the... More

A clean, comfortable, convenient and reasonable priced London hotel. Rooms are well equipped, with the one we stayed in having been recently refurbished. Part of a Fullers pub, the bar and food are good healthy portions and a good range of beers. Friendly and helpful staff, the benefit of early bag drop off, and late collect make this a hotel... More

Well sited hotel just over Blackfriars Bridge on the South Bank. Excellent location for visiting so many of the cities tourist sites. The 2nd floor room was small but more than adequate, it was clean and the ensuite bathroom warm and well provided for in the way of toiletries. Reception had been effievient and speedy. The receptionist did not however... More

This is a really nice hotel in a great location. The room was nice and clean, and a decent size too. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the South Bank. The pub next door had good food and some decent ales. The only slight downside was that during our stay the pub had a beer delivery (to... More

Around the corner from Southwark tube station or a 5 minute walk to Waterloo - great location for spending time around Southbank and a 5min tube journey to Leics Sq / Piccadilly. Situated close enough to all the hussle and bussle you could want the hotel offered a respite with it's relaxing atmosphere - nice to enjoy a pint in... More

Husband and I stayed here May 7-11 and again May 18-23, went to Cornwall in the middle. We have had some awful experiences with hotels in London, i.e. a 100lb per night (can't find my Great Britain Pound symbol) room where one person had to stand IN the bathroom in order for the other person to enter the room, no... The hotel is old fashioned in structure. We had a superior room and I guess that just meant it was bigger. The room was clean and comfortable, nice reception staff, genuinely sweet. The pub connected to the Hotel was nice and if you wanted to drink for 24 hours you could as a resident.

The Mad Hatter is a hundred yards or so from the South Bank of the Thames. We visited on a Sunday evening of a Bank Holiday weekend and it was a really good find. Whilst the riverside pubs were crammed with people, the Mad Hatter was much calmer. There were a lot of people there, many of them living locally,... More
