We stayed at this hotel for 3 days in June 2013 and it was great. The rooms were huge, staff was very helpful and the location was amazing, just down the way from Westminster Abbey. We walked to Trafalgar square, the London Eye and the Westminster Pier. The restaurant downstairs was delish, but only so-so service.

One of the most helpful and friendly staffs I have ever encountered. No request is a bother. The location is 1/2 a block from the St. James Park tube station and 1/2 block from Westminster Abbey in the other direction. It is very easy to walk to many of the top London sights. The ratings are right. There are too many hotels in London that are too pricey for what they have to offer. The Sanctuary House is the best place I have stayed in London. Location, friendly staff and nice rooms. We had our breakfasts at St James Sanwichbar in the little street across from the hotel, really good value.
