We had a charming room at Portabello Gold, it was on the small side but that was clearly stated on the website when we chose it so it wasn't a problem. The bed was comfortable, the location is first class! The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I had a wonderful stay at the Portobello Gold over The New Year 2012/2013, the staff are friendly as always, got up early to prepare breakfast for us and gave us lots of tips on local London. Very clean & spacious in the aparatment, with lots of character. I will be back for sure . Than you.

We never go to London without staying at "The Gold",- it is London to us. It is not because of the high standard we always want to go back, but the very special atmosphere. They are serving great food and have the best pub ever! And the staff are helpful and kind. We love it!

Stayed for a second time in the smallest room (0 aka backpacker). Really very little different to my precious review (rooms clean, beds comfy) but I think the public areas could do with a bit of redecoration: they seemed a trifle tired this time around. I do like the place though and the location and price is excellent.
