23 St. Mary's is a small B&B type establishment. We were given a warm welcome, help with (free) parking and shown to our room. Breakfast is first rate and I've yet to of had better. Location is 5 min walk to the centre of York. Go, you won't be disappointed.

We were staying in York because we were attending a wedding. The hotel has good sized bathroom, with large bathroom. Friendly owner who went out of their way to help us. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money.

Friendly welcome, and pre-trip correspondence. The struggle up to the third floor revealed a nice room, comfortable bed. Useful free wi-fi, view to York Minster (through trees so winter only). minor grumbles. lovely rooms and bathrooms. spotlessly clean. friendly and helpful pleasant hosts. but breakfast is 8-9. a bit early if you are on a break and want to relax a little. the house is perfectly placed for exploring. but i wantedt a bit of a lie in!! lol! would i stay again?YES!!

Loved this place. Great location for getting around York. Lovely owners, brilliant breakfast. The single room I had was a nice size with everything I needed. Definitely recommended. I stayed 2 nights there over a weekend; from the warm greeting at my late arrival through to all the interactions over breakfast, the owners were very friendly.

Stayed at 23 St Mary's and from the moment we arrived we knew we had chose the right place to stay. Tina was friendly,helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend 23 St Mary's. Great location, within walking distance of the train station and town centre.
